Work dissatisfaction!

A lot of my readers are in the age group of 24-32 years. This means that most of you would be working for someone. In work, there often comes a time when you feel stuck and lose the sense of belongingness. A popular research by the McKinsey company says that over 76% of Indian youth are dissatisfied with their job! What is the reason behind this alarming proportion of unhappy workforce? As opposed to popular opinion, the biggest reason behind this satistaction isn't the pay scale being offered. Instead, it is the job engagement and satisfaction that an employee has with its employer. So if you are someone who finds waking up in the morning for going to the office to be painful, it's time to question yourself about yout career path. Remember, it's never too late to push the restart button. But it's always too late to regret! PS: To practice what I preach, I have been operating my own automotive website in India , which is now doing quite good and has become a se

The drive to keep going!

The other day I was driving down a busy road in Pune when I say a very old man, must be in his 80s, besides me inside a first-generation Maruti Swift. He was driving in bumper to bumper traffic and was clearly not at ease in the chaos that is our modern world. I noticed he was in his formals and even had an ID card round his neck. The man was working at the age of 80+ and commutes daily by driving around in the most nuttiest of areas of Pune. This is when I remembered complaining to my father about the poor traffic of the city and my losing interest in commuting long distances. We as a generation are the most comfortable ones till date. We have all the technology and resources to make our lives easier. But as a result, we have somehow managed to become a lot lazier. I just can't imagine myself alive at the age of 80, yet alone working and driving down busy roads. It's the drive to keep going that we lack!

The thankless life!

Remember the last time you said thanks to someone and really meant it? In our day and age, we want everyone to support our endeavours, to show courtesy, to give us way, and yet, we don't really thank anyone who made an effort to make things right for us. From the daily grocery shop keeper who went out of his way to bend down and look for the product that you like, to your mother who makes sure you get everything you think of! Take a moment from your 24x7 runs and thank the people around you with a smile. See the difference it makes to others as well as yourself! Cheers!

What am I doing?

I left personal blogging a year back, after I lost someone extremely close to me. I dedicated myself to my studies and work. The result? I am currently enrolled in the country's biggest university, while my work is being appreciated by one and all. But somehow, amongst all this, I am back to blogging! Why, you ask? Well, I am asking the same question! In life, in love, in job; it is never about the output, it's always about the process and the joy that comes with it! And I find that joy to be the gateway to nirvana! However, a majority of us are somehow devoid of it. Be it because of a broken relationship, a missing family member, or just sheer displeasure in the work we do. I never thought I would say this, but I am now one amongst the herd of such people. Hence, I plan to use this blog to drop 1 musing every day, as a measure to escape from the daily hustle that we all are tangled in. In a world of daily vloggers like Casey Neistat and Mumbiker Nikhil, here I am, using m
